THE AUTHOR BEHIND THE WORDS
Beyond advertising, Rani is an author who explores identity, emotion, and imagination through storytelling. He has published three Arabic novels:
Khaymat Amal (Tent of Hope) 2016
It generally talks about the Syrian crises in a none political way, focusing on consequences on one family who tried to escape to Europe during that period. The novel is written in creative copywriting approach that is different than the conventional writing style of Arabic novels.
BATTLING IMAGINATION 2022
The novel talks about an OCD person who mixes real events with imagination, which results that he cannot tell the difference between what he actually lives, and what he sees. His life becomes more complicated when he experiences an overwhelming love story. The novel sheds the light on a lot of social complications we live in our Arabic region without specifying any country. The novel follows a sarcastic style in some situations with emotional tonality overall. The events of the story contain a lot of twists which accompany the reader till the last page of the novel.
CHUCABRA’S PROMISE 2023
This is an imaginative narrative of real-life experiences presented under a mythical and imaginative umbrella. It brings together characters who might seem scattered but have all suffered from a single dark promise. Despite their suffering, the characters share stories filled with hope and love. Each of them has encountered Chucabra or Charth in one way or another. The novel highlights the challenges faced by its protagonists in war, exile, imprisonment, and asylum. Some of the stories are based on real events documented by the protagonists themselves.
