During the pandemic, prayer spaces in mosques became a challenge for safe distancing. To protect worshippers while preserving tradition, the prayer mat was redesigned, expanded in size and imprinted with a subtle message reminding people to keep a safe distance. Launched during Eid across Pakistan’s largest mosques, the mat turned a symbol of faith into one of collective care.
